Sligo Triathlon Club
Welcome to Sligo Tri
We are an all-inclusive club, welcoming and supporting members of all ages and abilities.
We believe in building friendships and lasting bonds through a community of like-minded people, an aim which is fostered through events and activities including club duathlons and triathlons, annual ‘away’ Triathlons and regular social activities.
Hazelwood Olympic Distance Triathlon

Tri with Pride
Sligo Triathlon Club is delighted to introduce a new initiative for the LGBTQIA+ community.
New members are always welcome to join Sligo Tri, whether you’re interested in improving your fitness, meeting new people, or competing in the different triathlon events.
Hall of Fame
Sligo Triathlon Club says farewell and ‘Gracias y buen viaje a casa’ to Eduardo who is returning to Brazil. Eduardo has been involved with the club for the last five years or so as a swim coach. He took his last swim class last week. We want to thank him for his instruction, pleasant attitude, good humor and bringing enjoyment to the swim sessions. All the very best Eduardo in your new ventures back home in Brazil.
Congratulations to our new Tri Leaders
Well done to John, Cindy, Dermot and James, (also Gemma (not in picture)), members of the club who recently completed their First Aid Training in Collooney. This is part of the requirements for the Tri leader Course run by Triathlon Ireland that the group recently completed. They are now qualified to lead classes in the Club. Well done! Thanks to Tom McGoldrick who provided the training on the day and the company Premier First Aid Training. Great resource on our doorstep.
