The first training term of 2022 starts on 10 January and runs through to 27 February.

Sign up below for coached sessions for Pool Swim, Run & Mobility, Strength & Conditioning, Yoga and Turbo.

In addition, come along to our regular meet and train sessions.

Pool Swim

The aim of the swim sessions is to equip triathletes with the techniques required for both pool and open water events. A typical session consists of a warm-up, swim drills (arm drills, breathing, body position and kick drills), and a cool down.

Run & Mobility

Run & Mobility sessions start with a 30 minute mobility session in the main hall of the Sligo Sports Complex and is followed by an hour long structured run session outside.

A typical run session consists of a warm-up, stretching, a specific set (sprint session, hill repeats, longer distance repeats, etc), and a cool down.

Strength & Conditioning

Strength & Conditioning focuses on ways to improve athletic performance including endurance, speed, strength and power.

These sessions are designed to increase power, range of movement, coordination, flexibility, agility, strength and stability, providing you with a solid foundation to support all aspects of your training.

Turbo

Club turbo takes place online and a Zoom link will be sent to you after you sign up.

The objective is to allow cycling to continue throughout the winter, to keep fit and build form for the season ahead. A typical turbo session consists of a warm-up, leg drills, a structured set, and a cool down.

Yoga

These sessions, which are suitable for all abilities, will help to build strength and flexibility, especially in the core muscle groups. This will help you perform better and suffer fewer injuries.

The gentle movements and poses, or asanas, will also help promote healing for both body and mind.
